Sustainability

As a brand, we are aware of our every day impact on the planet. We are taking a conscious look at our impact on the planet, all the way through the product life cycle.

We are proud to be recipients of the 2020 Drapers Footwear Award for Best Sustainable Initiative.

We see this award as proof that we are making strides in the right direction towards a more sustainable future for Kickers.

We’re saying ‘so long’ to plastic delivery bags!

Kickers E-Commerce packaging is now FSC certified, is 100% recyclable and is made from 80% post-consumer waste. So when you receive your new Kicks, you won’t see any plastic bags.

We are also transitioning our product packaging to a supplier who only uses FSC certified paper, and who has water and chemical use reduction initiatives in place. On top of that, we have removed all unnecessary packaging such as shoe sticks, card dividers and excess tissue paper. In 2020 we will save approximately 340,000 shoe sticks, which would be 34km end-to-end!

We’re making efforts to make the materials in all of our products more sustainable.

We have switched all cotton laces to BCI cotton and we have started the ongoing process of transitioning all cotton canvas to BCI cotton too. On top of that, we’re using leather from LWG certified tanneries, encouraging our outsole suppliers to reuse waste rubber in the production process, and we’ve swapped all polyester mesh linings to recycled PET. We’ve created much more transparency in our supply chain, but are always striving to do better.
